Porcelain veneers are thin shells of porcelain. They are similar to press on nails and only cover the outer surface of the teeth. Only one millimeter of tooth structure is removed so the teeth will not look thick when the veneers are bonded to the teeth. They are very strong and may be used to straighten teeth as well as change the size, shape and shade of teeth.
