All Porcelain Crowns Porcelain crowns are indicated when the teeth to be restored already have too much damage to restore them with porcelain veneers. This damage may be decay, fractures of old fillings. They may also be used to straighten crooked teeth. The shape, shade and size of the teeth will be improved. Once bonded, porcelain crowns are very strong and lifelike. There is no discoloration at the gum line since the crowns have no metal in them to shine through. They look great on the front teeth but are strong enough to be used to restore the back teeth.
